Ole, accompanied by his son and the company’s head of sales, Mathias Granberg, discussed the family business with the king and queen, showcasing an assortment of work gloves. When Queen Sonja inquired about the number of glove styles the company offered, Ole replied, “We have 240 types of gloves.”
“At Granberg, we focus on protecting people’s hands. Our hands are our most valuable tools,” he explained to the royal couple. “We are pioneers in the innovation and design of protective gloves.”
Granberg, a multiple recipient of the prestigious Red Dot Design awards for design innovations in protective gloves, also employs locals, boosting the economy of the Vindafjord community, including towns like Bjoa.
“I felt greatly honoured that Granberg was one of a handful of businesses chosen to meet the king and queen. It is a privilege to be recognized as a local business that supports the community’s economy by sustaining local jobs,” Ole expressed.
