Five Reasons Why Glove Size Matters
Choosing the right glove size for work is essential for safety, comfort, and efficiency. Ill-fitting gloves can lead to reduced productivity, discomfort, and even workplace accidents—learn how to find the perfect fit for your hands and tasks.
Here are five reasons why it's important to wear the correct glove size at work:
1. Safety
Gloves that are too large can make it difficult to maintain a good grip on tools and materials, increasing the risk of losing control and causing injuries.
Gloves that are too small can restrict movement and make it hard to use your hands naturally, potentially leading to mistakes and accidents.

2. Comfort
The right size ensures better comfort, which is essential when gloves are worn for extended periods.
Gloves that are too small can cause discomfort, pressure points, and reduced blood circulation.
Gloves that are too large may slip around and irritate the skin.
3. Dexterity and Precision
Tasks requiring fine motor skills and accuracy, such as assembly or handling small parts, need well-fitting gloves.
If the glove is too large, holding and securing small objects can become challenging.
Gloves that are too small are too tight, limiting finger movement and sensitivity.

4. Efficiency
Well-fitted gloves allow you to work faster and with greater efficiency.
Gloves that are too large may require frequent adjustments for grip or tools, while gloves that are too small can reduce productivity due to discomfort or restriction.
5. Durability
Ill-fitting gloves wear out faster. Gloves that are too small can tear or become damaged easily as the material is overstretched.
Gloves that are too large experience increased friction, as well as wear-and-tear in the wrong places.

Proper Glove Removal: Why It’s as Important as Choosing the Right Size
While choosing the right glove size matters, handling and removing gloves correctly is equally important, especially when using disposable gloves. Improper removal can lead to cross-contamination or exposure to harmful substances, negating the protective benefits of wearing gloves in the first place.
Whether you're using gloves for industrial tasks, healthcare, or general safety, learning the proper techniques for removing disposable gloves ensures hygiene, safety, and compliance with best practices. Here's a simple guide to removing disposable gloves safely and hygienically.

1. Grip the outside of glove A:
- Using your gloved hand (glove B), grasp the outside of glove A on the wrist.
- Avoid touching bare skin with your gloves.
- Pull glove A toward your fingertips.
2. Invert glove A:
- Continue pulling off A, turning it inside out as it slides over your fingers.
- Remove glove A completely from your hand so it is inverted (inside out) and hold it securely in the gloved hand (glove B).
3. Prepare to Remove Glove B:
- Place the inverted Glove A in the palm of the gloved hand (Glove B).
- Using two fingers from the now bare hand, slide them under the edge of Glove B at the wrist.
4. Invert and remove glove B:
- With your fingers inside Glove B, gently pull it off your hand, turning it inside out as you go.
- Pull Glove B completely over Glove A, trapping Glove A inside GloveB.
5. Ensure proper removal and disposal of the gloves:
- Ensure that Glove B completely encloses Glove A, so only the inside of Glove B is visible.
- Remove Glove B entirely from your hand and dispose of both gloves properly in an appropriate waste container.
